NDA Polity Syllabus and Preparation Strategy

Polity is one of the most consistent sections in the NDA General Ability Test (GAT). Every year, questions are asked from topics like Fundamental Rights, the Constitution, Parliament, and the structure of government. Unlike Geography or History, Polity questions are largely fact-based and don’t change much year to year, which makes this section highly scoring if prepared well.

Focus areas include the Preamble, Fundamental Rights and Duties, the structure of the Union and State governments, the President, Prime Minister, Parliament, and the Judiciary. Constitutional bodies, amendments, and important articles are also frequently tested. Candidates should pay close attention to numbers — article numbers, schedules, and amendment years are commonly asked in NDA exam.
