NDA Physics Syllabus and Preparation Strategy

Geography carries strong weightage in the General Ability Test (GAT) of the NDA written examination. Every year, around 15–20 questions are asked from Indian Geography and World Geography. Subjects such as History and Polity, where the number of questions varies each year and chapters are also unpredictable. But Geography generally maintains a strong presence in the NDA exam each year. Therefore, every NDA aspirant should give special attention to Geography during the preparation of the GAT paper.

In World Geography, chapters such as Atmosphere, Geomorphology, Climate, and Ocean Currents are particularly important. In Indian Geography, topics like the Drainage System, Soils, Agriculture, and Transport are frequently asked in the examination. Candidates should analyse the previous year’s questions carefully. Regular map practice and a strong understanding of important locations can improve accuracy and confidence in the geography section of the NDA written exam.
